Monthly Meetings - 2011/2012 Schedule
Guests and non-members are welcome to attend one
meeting before joining MAG. Meetings are held at
Creative 360, 1517 Bayliss St. Midland, MI
On 3rd Wednesdays, September through May
from 6:30 to 9:00 pm

February 15th: Our featured speaker is Alethea
Maguire-Cruz who will be one of the jurors for our
Annual Exhibit. She will be discussing the jury
process to choose the best art for an exhibit. We
will also see a selection of her art pieces. Alethea
and her husband Carlos will choose the art for our
exhibit.
January 18th:
Our program will be on the business of art: Roger
King will talk about getting into a gallery and
Hannah Manges will tell us about setting up an art
studio and gallery.
December 1st:
Annual Holiday Party at Creative 360
November 16th:
Our guest speaker is Armin Mersman from the
Midland Center of the Arts. He will talk about the
best way to present you art fo a juried exhibit. The
do's and don'ts of matting and framing 2D pieces.
Members that bring their work to show will discuss
it during "Art Talk".
October 19th:
Our guest spear is Audra Johnson. She will be
discussing the origin of the idea of combining the
art exhibit that is currently at Creative 360 with
the Shelterhouse mission and about domestic
violence awareness month. "Art Talk" discussion
will cover all members that bring in their work.
September 21st:
We will enjoy our annual finger food pot luck as
we reconnect after the summer. Everyone is
encourage to bring your summer works of art for
"Art Talk". Prizes will be awarded by members
ballot for their favorite top 3 pieces.
Our Guest Speaker is Henry Reyna. Henry will be
talking about how "Art Can Build Safety, Economy,
Culture and Educations in our Communities". Henry
is a very exciting speaker who has just returned
from a national seminar on this subject.
